I was commissioned by Healthcare Communications Agency Onyx Health to devise brand concepts for Xhoreo, a medication used in preventing sickle cell crises in children. The project demanded a dual approach: one strand aimed at medical communications for parents, and another, a playful theme targeting children with sickle cell disease.
Harnessing the distinct shape of sickle cell blood cells, I integrated it into the main logo, forming the defining ‘X’ in Xhoreo. Moreover, I drew inspiration from blood cells to inform the graphic elements present across all materials, ensuring a cohesive and visually impactful brand identity.
To engage younger audiences, I conceived “Super Sickle,” a strawberry superhero, mirroring the medicine’s strawberry flavour. Through a series of imaginative illustrations, Super Sickle was brought to life across various materials, including a colouring book, sticker sheet and activity booklet, fostering empowerment and enjoyment among young patients.
